Fine Art Conservator
In 2011, Katherine Zsolt began an apprenticeship with Thornton Rockwell, one of America’s most highly regarded painting conservators.
Mr. Rockwell was the private art conservator for both the Getty family’s private collection and The Bohemian Club, and worked extensively with major museums, including the Kimbell Art Museum and the de Young Museum. He was also a Fellow of the American Institute for Conservation (AIC) and a member for 45 years.
Ms. Zsolt joined Mr. Rockwell’s studio with 36 years of experience in applied color and materials research, art restoration, and art installation. She trained and worked alongside Mr. Rockwell for nine years, becoming a business associate in 2013 and assuming responsibility for The Bohemian Club’s painting conservation and restoration in 2015.
Ms. Zsolt relocated her studio to Canada 5 years ago and is planning to move to Europe in 2026. There she will continue art restoration and conservation to the standards of both Mr. Rockwell and the AIC. Presently, she is exploring the opportunity to study the art and technique of fresco painting and restoration at a prestigious academy of art in Florence, Italy.

Dopo la sua formazione, ha lavorato al fianco di Mr. Rockwell per nove anni, diventando socia in affari nel 2013 e assumendo la responsabilità della conservazione e del restauro dei dipinti del Bohemian Club nel 2015.
La signora Zsolt ha trasferito il suo studio in Canada cinque anni fa e ha in programma di trasferirsi in Europa nel 2026. Lì continuerà il restauro e la conservazione delle opere d’arte secondo gli standard del signor Rockwell e dell’AIC. Attualmente sta valutando l’opportunità di studiare l’arte e la tecnica della pittura e del restauro dell’affresco presso una prestigiosa accademia d’arte a Firenze, in Italia.

Mme Zsolt a rejoint le studio de M. Rockwell avec 36 ans d’expérience dans la recherche appliquée sur les couleurs et les matériaux, la restauration d’œuvres d’art et l’installation artistique. Elle s’est formée et a travaillé aux côtés de M. Rockwell pendant neuf ans, devenant associée commerciale en 2013 et assumant la responsabilité de la conservation et de la restauration des peintures du Bohemian Club en 2015.
Depuis cinq ans, Mme Zsolt a transféré son atelier au Canada et elle prévoit de s’installer en Europe en 2026. Elle y poursuivra ses activités de restauration et de conservation d’œuvres d’art, en respectant les normes de qualité de M. Rockwell et de l’AIC. Elle étudie actuellement la possibilité de suivre une formation en peinture et restauration de fresques dans une prestigieuse académie d’art à Florence, en Italie.
